Bathing water sampling points

The map service allows you to view the points of withdrawal of bathing water, identified in accordance with Legislative Decree 116/2008 and their classification. The quality classes are: “excellent” (1)“good” (2)“sufficient” (3)“poor” (4)The quality of bathing water is monitored by Health Protection Agencies (ATS) through the evaluation of two bacteriological parameters: Escherichia coli and intestinal Enterococci, whose exceedance of the limit values leads to a temporary ban on bathing extended to the area analysed. The frequency of withdrawals is at least once a month during the bathing season, from May to September, according to a predetermined calendar. The information on the bathing conditions of the points can be accessed in real time by consulting the Water Portal of the Ministry of Health from the Water Portal
