The purpose of this program is to provide information and help to community residents impacted by disasters to reconnect and improve their community social support networks, establish emotional balance, improve coping skills, and regain the strength necessary to move forward. Covered these modules: DEFINING DISASTERS: Definitions of disasters, Description of impacts, Therapeutic communities, Corrosive communities. BUILDING LISTENING SKILLS: Types of support, Levels of communication, Basic listening skills, and Ways to respond.
