SGA: Working Translation, Source-Repair, and Audit Drafts (SGA6 idx438 Source-Rescribe Checkpoint)

This is the reader-facing SGA working record for the Modern LaTeX Editions of Mathematics Manuscripts project. It retains the compact SGA5 and SGA6 reader-first surface and updates the front SGA6 French source-rescribe workpass to certification-ledger entry #435, scan idx438 / volume p425 / Exposé VII p10. The next unchecked page is idx439 / volume p426 / Exposé VII p11. Open first: the SGA5 French workpass PDF, 01_SGA6_French_SourceRescribe_Workpass_NotCertified_idx438_20260711.pdf, and the SGA6 English unsynchronized working-draft PDF. File 04_SGA6_TeX_SourceRescribe_Audit_NotCertified_idx438_20260711.zip contains editable French TeX, the full certification and errata ledgers, compile logs, representative source crops, checksums, and a status README. What changed: since the public #410 / idx413 checkpoint, 25 page-local source passes complete Exposé VI pp37-51 and cover Exposé VII pp1-10. They repair notation, exact sequences, proposition statements, proof structure, display/inline placement, references, capitalization, and inherited passages that had been compressed or substantially rewritten. The newest page required thirteen repair groups. A publication-only line break in Proposition 1.7 removes a 129 pt overfull line without changing mathematical text. The frozen 388-page build has zero fatal errors, zero overfull boxes, and zero underfull boxes; inherited accent-command and footnote-destination warnings remain. Status: this is useful source-aware working material, not OCR-only, but it is not a critical edition, completed SGA6 release, whole-volume source-faithfulness certification, English synchronization, publication-grade proofreading, or diagram-by-diagram certification. Material after idx438 remains inherited scaffold until directly checked. SGA5 remains incomplete and contains known errors. SGA7 remains partial and caveat-heavy.
