Bolivia: main destinations of domestic visitors 2019

The department of La Paz was the leading destination among Bolivian domestic travelers in 2019, attracting a share of 26.3 percent. Santa Cruz, the largest department in the South American country in terms of area, was the second top destination for domestic tourism in Bolivia, with nearly 24 percent of domestic tourism volume. That year, roughly eight out of ten Bolivian domestic tourists used public transport to arrive to their destinations.
