Badener Kurlisten Dataset (1850–1859)

The data has been collected from 10 years of Kurlisten (spa guest lists) from Baden bei Wien as part of a master's thesis in the field of Digital Humanities at the University of Vienna. The scans of these lists are available at the online portal of the Austrian National Library. The text has been extracted via Transkribus, after which data cleaning and manipulation tasks were performed. It was possible to connect most of the location data to Wikidata entries. Additional columns were generated from the original structure to enable data analysis. The dataset has previously been shared in a GitHub repository along with the code and other data related to the master's thesis.An unreleased dataset by Hans Hornyik was used when creating the "Address" and "Address_2023" columns for matching the historical addresses with modern ones. v1.0.1 Updated the "Establishment_Type" for three addresses. v1.0.1 is the final version of the dataset that has been used in the master's thesis.
