This dataset contains HI absorption spectra towards 373 continuum sources in the region of the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC). These were produced by the GASKAP HI Absorption Pipeline from 20 hours of ASKAP pilot observations of the SMC. The accompanying catalogues describe the 229 spectra that satisfied the quality requirements for analysis along with the 122 absorption features identified in those spectra.\nLineage: Based on ASKAP scheduling blocks 10941 and 10944
