Within-patient evolution of the carbapenem-resistance plasmid pOXA-48

Whole genome sequencing of (i) Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae strains carrying the clinically relevant pOXA-48 plasmid evolved in the gut of hospitalized patients, (ii) same strains after being cured from plasmid pOXA-48 and (iii) J53 E. coli strains carrying different pOXA-48 variants.
