The proposal is a continuation of a long-term project, whose goal is to establish an experimental understanding of magnetic domain wall dynamics in systems with a complex 3D structure. Undulating structures with alternating curvature and curvature gradients- will be measured. In a previous beamtime (2022025702) we demonstrated, the successful application of short current pulses in the undulating nanostructures and the possibility to generate different kind of domain walls: Bloch point domain walls for thin structures and vortex domain walls for thicker structures. Taking advantage again of these in-situ capabilities, we will image the propagation of these two kinds of domain walls after the application of current pulses. This experiment will allow us to complete our study of the influence of curvature and torsion on the critical current for domain wall motion, getting fundamental information for the understanding of domain wall dynamics in curved systems and future devices.
