3-D PPMLR-MHD Model Simulation Data for the Double Transpolar Arcs Event on January 10, 1997

This dataset contains three-dimensional PPMLR-MHD model simulation outputs for the double transpolar arcs event on January 10, 1997. Each file is named 19970110_HHMMsimulation_data.mat , where HHMM is the Universal Time (UT) of the simulation output. The files contain MHD_X, MHD_Y, MHD_Z, MHD_Bx, MHD_By,MHD_Bz and MHD_T. MHD_X, MHD_Y and MHD_Z describe the simulation grid coordinates in GSM coordinates; MHD_Bx, MHD_By and MHD_Bz are the magnetic-field components in GSM coordinates; and MHD_T is the plasma temperature. The model output time resolution is 1 minute, and the UT time for each uploaded file is encoded in its filename.
