To reveal the sexual differences in gene expression in the brain, we sequenced the mRNA expressed in the brains of male and female silkmoths, respectively. Approximately ten brains for each sample, we isolated RNA using RNAiso Plus and Qiagen columns. These samples were subjected to RNA sequencing service of BGI Japan. Library construction, sequencing with DNBSEQ, and mapping to the silkworm genome with HISAT2 were conducted by BGI.
