A combination of temporal dynamics of microbial community and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) monitoring as well as DNA-SIP analysis was conducted to decipher the bioaugmentation mechanisms in wetland sediments that inoculated by sulfamethoxazole (SMX)-degrading bacteria (Pseudomonas sp. M2 or Paenarthrobacter sp. R1). A total of 4 treatments were conducted, including (B): SMX free control ; (C): non-inoculated control; (D): inoculated with Pseudomonas sp. M2; (E): inoculated with Paenarthrobacter sp. R1. It included 16S rRNA gene sequences of bacteria cultured at different times, metagenomic data of the last day, and 16S rRNA gene sequences of bacteria based on different fractions after DNA-SIP fractionation.
