This dataset mainly includes theoretical simulation and experimental verification data of off-axis aberration correction system for liquid telescopes based on magnetic fluid deformable mirror. The data processing in this paper is mainly completed based on MATLAB and Zemax OpticStudio software. Firstly, a off-axis optical system model of the liquid telescope is established in Zemax, and the wavefront map data of the original off-axis aberration and the corrected aberration of the convex mirror are calculated. Then, MATLAB is used to reconstruct and fit the wavefront data. Finally, a adaptive controller based on Youla parameterization is designed in MATLAB for real-time correction of static residual aberration and dynamic time-varying aberration by combining the magnetic fluid deformable mirror surface model. This dataset is divided into two files. File 1 provides data for the theoretical simulation section, mainly including: 1. Original off-axis aberration wavefront data (off-axis aberration. mat, MATLAB), as shown in Fig 1b; 2. The wavefront data after convex mirror correction (aberration after convex. mat, MATLAB), as shown in Fig 3b; 3. Residual aberration data when driving 631 miniature coils (residual aberration of 631coils.mat,MATLAB), as shown in Fig 9. File 2 provides experimental data, mainly including: 1. The static response under the central actuator of the magnetic fluid deformable mirror with current variation (responsivewithcur. xlsx), as shown in Fig 13. 2. The data for different currents input to the single coil (single_20mA.csv, single_cinus10mA.csv, single_10mA.csv), as shown in Fig 14a. 3. The date of Coils in different position with different currents (doubleadd_20mA. csv, doubleadd_cinus10mA. csv, doubleadd_20mAndandmins10mA. csv), as shown in Fig 14b. 4. The data of aberration values when four selected output channels are not corrrected (tongdao1_2. csv, tongdao2_2. csv, tongdao15_2. csv, tongdao25_2. csv) and the data of aberration values after correction (tongdao12_1. csv, tongdao2_1. csv, tongdao15_1. csv, tongdao25_1. csv), as shown in Fig 18a, Fig 18b, Fig 18c, and Fig 18d.
