Leading social networks in Italy 2023, by reach

In the third quarter of 2023, WhatsApp was the leading social media in Italy with more than 90.3 percent of Italian online users accessing the instant messaging service on a monthly basis. The most popular social media platform was Facebook, with 77.5 percent of surveyed Italian internet users reporting to have used the platform. Additionally, Facebook Messenger was used by 50.2 percent of respondents.
