Terminology for Allergen studies

The names agreed by the Working Group on Analysis, Sample Material and Sample Requirement Terminology can be found in the attached file.

For the analyses, 3 names have been agreed:

T abbreviation - an abbreviation based on English and always abbreviated first

Name to be used – a consensual name (based on an abbreviation or Estonian full name) used both in electronic data exchange and as an official name on all other media. The material is included at the end of the name except where the material is blood, serum or plasma or where the material is left undefined e analysis can be performed on multiple materials.

‘T-name’ means the full name in Estonian together with the material. All abbreviations are explained in full
