VPRS 12359 Weekly Statement of Revenue

This series contains details of weekly revenue accrued from the following Government Departments and duties:Land TaxIncome TaxProbate DutyUnemployment Relief TaxUnemployment Relief StampsTotalizatorElectricity CommissionStampstitlesbettingForestsDepartment of AgricultureState Rivers and Water SupplyPorts and HarboursInterestRailwaysState Coal MinesCommonwealthTerritorialOther sourcesA weekly total of all income accrued for the week is given. These ledgers are used over a two year period. Each initial entry has a space underneath whereby subsequent entries are made for the respective weeks in the following year so that revenue can be compared. Therefore, in any given week, the clerk responsible for making these entries was required to make them in duplicate one figure for the year so far, and the other for the same week the previous year as a comparative figure.These entries are summarised in VPRS 11329 Details Ledgers of Revenue (Consolidated Revenue Fund)
