Raw MCS shot gathers, voyage EW9601, Southland, Fiordland, Puysegur and Solander Trough, New Zealand

This data set contains raw MCS shot data in SEG-Y format from R/V Maurice Ewing Voyage EW9601a, 8 March 1996 to 14 March 1996, which was an add-on extra (transit) to the main SIGHT project and was entirely funded by GNS Science. Shot data were processed by Anne Melhuish and Rupert Sutherland and rewritten to segy files in the 1990s, lost, and then recovered in 2018 by Jenny Black (GNS Science, NZ) and worked on by Jiten Patel (MSc thesis, Victoria University of Wellington, NZ) under the supervision of Rupert Sutherland (Victoria University of Wellington, NZ) and Wanda Stratford (GNS Science, NZ). File names correspond to tape numbers given in Appendix A of the add-on cruise report (tapes 603-845). Note that there may be errors of transcription from the voyage report Appendix B into the spreadsheet. FFID 7880 (tape 0745) SP is 58216 in voyage report, but 58236 in the sheet. FFID 5303 is SP 55638 in voyage report, but 55568 in sheet. There may be other errors. Navigation for these shots can be found in the following data set: Sutherland, R. and B.
