The data is sourced from the ILOSTAT database of the International Labour Organization (ILO), retrieved via API and filtered for African countries. It is provided in tabular format with columns including country code, indicator code, sex classification (total, male, female), economic activity classification, public/private sector classification, observation year, observed value, etc. The data is harmonized by ILO and suitable for research on the informal economy, labor market analysis, and time-series forecasting.
