This dataset includes discrete, profile measurements of chemical and physical data collected from the R/V Maria S. Merian cruise MSM12_3 (EXPOCODE 06M220090714) in the Davis Strait, Labrador Sea and North Atlantic Ocean from 2009-07-14 to 2009-08-22. These data include dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity, dissolved oxygen, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, silicate, salinity and water temperature. The instruments used to collect these data include alkalinity titrator, CTD, Niskin bottles, coulometer for DIC measurement and others. These data were collected by Arne Körtzinger, Tobias Steinhoff, and Toste Tanhua of GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel, Kiel, Germany and Monika Rhein of Leibniz Institute of Marine Sciences (IFM-GEOMAR) as part of the CLIVAR_AR07W_2009_06M220090714 dataset. The International CLIVAR Global Ocean Carbon and Repeat Hydrography Program carries out a systematic and global re-occupation of select WOCE/JGOFS hydrographic sections to quantify changes in storage and transport of heat, fresh water, carbon dioxide (CO2), and related parameters.
