Vegetation Condition Index (VCI) mapping

Repository of project outputs on drought assessment and mapping using GEE. Paper upcoming. VCI Rasters Monthly 500 m GeoTIFFs for 2014 and 2024 covering continental Asia. Each file (Asia_ VCI_YYYY_MM.tif) contains a single band with VCI values (0–100) and nodata for masked pixels. Metadata specify baseline period (2003–2023), input product (MOD13A2 C6.1), units, and nodata value. Precipitation Rasters Monthly 10 km GeoTIFFs of IMERG-derived total precipitation for 2014 and 2024 (Asia_YYYY_MM.tif). Pixel values represent monthly sums in millimeters; nodata identifies missing/low-quality estimates. Optional CSV files provide regional statistics aggregated from grids. Land Cover Rasters and Tables Categorical 500 m GeoTIFFs for 2014 and 2024 (MODIS_LandCover_Asia_2014.tif,MODIS_LandCover_Asia_2024.tif) with integer codes 1–17 representing land cover classes. A legend file maps codes to class names. A CSV table reports total area and absolute/relative change per class between 2014 and 2024.
