资源简介:
This collection contains survey and experimental data used to evaluate how recreational boaters’ intentions, attitudes, and awareness of aquatic invasive species (AIS) align with their ability to perform AIS prevention actions. During summer 2022, boaters at public water accesses in Minnesota and western Wisconsin completed standardized AIS removal trials on a staged watercraft, and then these same boaters were asked to complete a questionnaire with demographic questions as well as questions grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior. This collection includes all data described above, the code used to examine, analyze, and graph the data, and all associated metadata.
The code herein examines links between cognitive/behavioral constructs and observed AIS removal performance and is provided in order to make our analytical workflow transparent, reviewable, reusable, and accessible. The data set and code are included to enable replication, re-analysis, review, and secondary research on boating behavior, environmental education, and AIS management. Together, the data and analysis files provide a reproducible workflow for exploring factors that influence compliance with AIS prevention practices.
