The dataset consists of three parts: 1) The tabular data ("Data", Excel file), 2) GIS files over the provenance areas ("Polygons", MapInfo format and ESRI shapefiles) and 3) Publications and sources for the data ("Publication", Word file). 1) The tabular data (Data.xlsx) This is a spreadsheet with the recorded data, where each row is a recorded provenance determination of a raw material. There are the following 10 columns: Database number: Unique and consecutive number in the database created in connection with the project Reference: Reference number according to the sources used Finding Place X (WGS 84): Geographical location (X in the projection system WGS84) Finding Place Y (WGS 84): Geographical location (Y in the projection system WGS84) Provenance number: Unique provenance number, see 2) GIS files Provenance: Provenance place name, see 2) GIS files Object category: Categorization of object type Rawmaterial: Categorization of raw materials Dating CE: Dating of the object Publication: Source used in the registration, see 3) Publications and sources for the data 2) GIS files over the provenance areas (Polygons.tab, Polygons.shp) Include vectorizations of the provenance areas in both MapInfo format and ESRI shapefiles in the projection system EUREF89 UTM zone 32. For each provenance area, a unique provenance number and a place name are associated, see 1) The tabular data. 3) Publications and sources for the data (Publication.docx) Contains a list of publications and sources used in registering the provenance provisions, see 1) The tabular data.
