Protective effect of vanadium(IV)-chlorodipicolinate against high-fat diet-induced hepatic steatosis: Lipidome and transcriptome analyses

Male C57BL mice were fed commercial regular chow diet and distilled water ad libitum These were regular chow diet RCD high fat diet HFD VOdipic Cl treatment HFD V groups All groups had free access to water and food After 20 weeks of feeding the RCD and HFD animals were given by oral gavage daily with distilled water. The HFD V group animals were daily administered with VOdipic Cl for 28 days.Total RNA was extracted from the livers of RCD HFD or HFD V groups using TRIzol reagent RNA quality was determined by Agilent 2100 bioanalyzer and samples with an RNA integrity number over than 8 were used for subsequent experiments
