Nuskha-i-nâsikha-i-mathnawiyyât-i-saḳîmah (نسخۀ ناسخۀ مثنويّات سقيمه).

The revised edition of the mathnawî, with introductions, indices, paraphrases, and annotations, by ‘Abd-allaṭîf bin ‘Abdallâh al-’Abbâsî (who died A.H. 1048 or 1049=A.D. 1638, 1639), the author of the revised and collated edition of Sanâ’î’s Ḥadiḳah, with commentary and glosses, described in Nos. 923 and 924 of this Cat. He collated the mathnawî with more than eighty copies during the years A.H. 1024-1032 (A.D. 1615-1623), prefixed a special introduction and a detailed index to each of the six daftars, added on the margin a Persian paraphrase of the original Arabic prefaces of the first, the third, and the fourth daftar, and a large number of various readings and glosses, and completed his critical task A.H. 1032 (A.D. 1623); see more detailed remarks both on the editor and his work in Bodleian Cat., Nos. 663-665, and Rieu ii. p. 589.
