Effect of Locus of Control and Gender on Perceived Stress of Adolescents

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the the effect of locus of control and gender on perceived stress of adolescents. Participants were randomly selected from Cuttack, Odisha, India and their responses was collected on Julian Rotter's Locus of Control scale and Sheldon Cohen's Perceived Stress Scale. Prior to the study, all of the ethical procedures of the study were completed, and the study was conducted in accordance with the tenets of the Declaration of Helsinki. Descriptive statistics were done to summarize the dependent and independent variables. For all analyses, results were considered statistically significant at the p ≤ .05 level, and a between-subjects ANOVA at alpha = .05 was used to analyze the filtered data. All tests were two-tailed.
