Prevalence of Multimorbidity among hospitalised adults in sub-Saharan Africa: a systematic review

Multimorbidity (living with two or more chronic diseases) a is growing global health challenge. In sub-Saharan Africa, limited access to treatment means patients present to hospital due to under-treated chronic disease. The aim of this systematic review is to synthesise the available published data on multimorbidity and chronic disease from unselected hospital admissions in sub–Saharan Africa.
