Datisca glomerata (D. glomerata) is a nodulating species belonging to the Cucurbitales. Datisca is nodulated by Frankia bacteria. Actinorhizal Cucurbitales have a distinct nodule structure and infection mechanism, different from that in actinorhizal Rosales or Fagale. We collected DNA from greenhouse-grown plants leaves. We sequenced the genome to a depth of approximately 261X.
The assembled scaffolds of high quality sequences total 688MB, with the contig and scaffold N50 values of 89kb and 1,186kb respectively. We identified 37,042 protein-coding genes with a mean length of 1.013kb.
