Extreme environments have unique microbial communities offering valuable information about the limits of life and potential biotechnological applications. However, our understanding of the functional genomic diversity across diverse extreme habitats of Pakistan remains limited. This project aimed to characterize and compare the metagenomic profiles of microbial communities from three distinct extreme environments in Pakistan. Using high-throughput bioinformatic analysis, we performed metagenomic assembly, gene prediction, and functional annotation.
