Tracing the evolution of BH winds through the intermediate states

Black hole transients (BHT) are the only class of black holes (BH) which samplesa wide range of accretion rates and accretion states during their month to yearlong outbursts. BHT classically show two types of outflows: collimatedradiojets ubiquitous during the canonical hard state and highly ionised Xraywinds during the soft state.
