Speed limit values range from 10 to 70 mph, with the following distribution:

55 mph (5,189 segments) – the most common, typical for rural two-lane highways

35 mph (3,005 segments) – common in transitional and lower-speed rural areas

45 mph (1,396 segments) – suburban and semi-rural corridors

25 mph (1,131 segments) – urban and residential zones

70 mph (91 segments) – interstates and parkways

65 mph (41 segments) – high-speed divided highways

Lower speeds of 10-20 mph for school zones and special areas

The route network includes Kentucky Routes (7,917 segments), US Routes (1,456), City Streets (1,236), County Roads (348), Interstates (85), and named parkways.
