The mechanisms by which Plag1 regulates neurogenic potential of embryonic and neocortical neural precursor cells

During neocortical development, neurons are produced from neural precurcor cells (NPCs) in specific period, neurogenic phase. Recently, we found that Plag1, a transcription factor, plays a role for neurogenic potential fo NPCs. Here, we are examining the mechanisms by which Plag1 regulates neurogenic potential of NPCs focusing on its target genes.
