Earmuff and Eye mask in the treatment of acute primary headache in Emergency Department

We hypothesized sleep eye masks and noise reduction headsets can help to add comfort of primary headache patients in an ED where they cannot be provided a dark quiet place to rest. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of sleep eye masks and noise reduction earmuffs in reducing pain scores, and to determine if the method is preferred over standard treatment by patients when used in addition to standard treatment of primary headache syndromes in ED.
