资源简介:

This multibeam bathymetric grid covers the entire Sur Pockmark field on the continental margin offshore central California between 34° N and 36° N, out to 4,600 m water depth in 15 m resolution. This grid was compiled using surface ship surveys collected in the area and available via https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/maps/iho_dcdb/ combined with surveys conducted for this project and avalible via https://doi.org/10.5066/P9QQZ27U. The lateral resolution of surface ship collected multibeam bathymetric grids is depth-dependent, from 5 m at the shelf edge to over 20 m resolution at 2,000 mwd. Data below this water depth are increasingly over sampled. These data were was processed, cleaned and gridded using open source software MBSystem. Any gaps in multibeam coverage under 45 m were filled with interpolated data. Grid file was created to support the research article: Lundsten, E. Paull, C.K., Gwiazda, R., Dobbs, S., Caress, D.W., Kuhnz, L.A., Walton, M., Nieminski, N., McGann, M., Lorenson, T., Cochrane, G., Addison, J. C. (in-press) Pockmarks offshore Big Sur, California provide evidence for recurrent, regional, and unconfined sediment gravity flows. Journal of Geophysical Research: Earth Surface The data file MorroBay_2020_interp_15m.grd is in netCDF grid format (.grd) with horizontal 15 m resolution and is in geographic coordinates, WGS 1984 datum. The grid file is compatible with GMT programs and MBSystem software.
