The scanned HE-stained slide files of brain sections post SEZ or ∆manY infection.

Mice were i.v. infected with SEZ or ∆manY strain. Moribund mice were deeply anesthetized with a 10% pentobarbital sodium intramuscular injection and perfused with 4% paraformaldehyde until the liver turned pale. The brains were then fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde for 24 hours and processed into paraffin sections for hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining.
