Twenty root tips and rhizosphere soil samples collected from a Lactarius deliciosus - Pinus radiata plantation in Guizhou, Southwest China were used for pair-end sequencing on an Illumina MiSeq platform, Novaseq-PE250, with the V3-V4 region of the bacterial 16S rRNA gene was amplified. The aim is to understand how ectomycorrhizal fungi pre-colonization affects bacterial community and functions in different compartment niches.
