SEMI-AUTOMATIC DEVICE FOR CHOPPING ENERGY WILLOW SPROUTS

The invention relates to a semi-automatic device for chopping dried sprouts of energy willow to obtain fragmented wood biomass. According to the invention， the device consists of a parallelepipedal metal casing ( C) having four legs (P) and accommodating a longitudinal cutting unit (UTL)， while on one of the exterior walls of the casing ( C) a control panel (2) with a start button (1) and an indicating lamp (3) is mounted and on another exterior wall， the casing ( C) has an inlet orifice (A) through which the willow sprouts are guided to the longitudinal cutting unit (UTL) by some sprout guiding rollers (4) provided with entraining mechanisms and， on either side of the inlet orifice (A)， some photo-detectors (5) are mounted， the longitudinal cutting of the willow sprouts being performed by some cutting tools (6)， the willow sprout being pushed from a cutting compartment (7) within the casing ( C) and led towards a storage box (8).
