Original CT image stacks of five fossil petrosal bones from Siberia, 3D PDF files of reconstructed endocasts, blood vessels and innervation patterns, 3D PDF instruction file, STL files of the petrosals

Petrosals were picked from the >2.0 mm fraction of the screen washed clay and scanned with the 180 kV X-ray tube of the v|tome|x s µCT device (GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies GmbH phoenix|x-ray) of the Institute of Geosciences, Section Paleontology, Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, Germany. Image size was 1024 × 1024 pixels. Reconstruction software datos|x rec (GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies GmbH phoenix|x-ray) and VG Studio Max 2.0 (Volume Graphics) was used to produce CT images stacks. Avizo® 6.3 (VSG Visualization Sciences Group, FEI Company) was used for reconstuction of endocasts and surface models. The 3D PDF files were created using DAZ studio v4.15 and Adobe Acrobat X pro.
