To investigate the mechanism by which NlInR2 induces and executes LW development, we performed RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) of wing buds treated with dsNlInR2 and dsGfp. Nymphs at the onset of the fifth instar (2h after ecdysis) were microinjected with dsNlInR2 and dsGfp to generate LW- and SW-commitment BPHs, respectively. After 24h and 48h, wing buds were dissected from nymphs for comparative transcriptomic analysis.
