Transcriptomic Profiling of lung acrophages under Transforming Growth Factor-beta Stimulation

This project contains RNA sequencing data investigating the effects of in vitro TGF-beta stimulation on macrophages from two distinct origins: alveolar macrophages (AMs) and monocyte-derived macrophages (MDMs). The dataset compares the global gene expression profiles, including differentially expressed genes and affected pathways, between resting and TGF-beta-treated conditions for each macrophage type. The goal is to elucidate the specific and common transcriptional programs regulated by TGF-beta, a key immunomodulatory cytokine, in tissue-resident versus monocyte-derived macrophages. This data provides a resource for understanding macrophage plasticity and polarization in the context of fibrosis, wound healing, and immune regulation.
