Genome sequence of the strain CBS 14088 of the yeast Lachancea quebecensis. Lachancea quebecensis CBS 14088 assembly

The genome of strain CBS 14088 has been sequenced using Illumina Solexa technology with a 300-bp insert library sequenced in paired-end. The assembly was made with SOAPdenovo2 with a kmer size of 63. The rDNA cluster was assembled independently and manually integrated between scaffolds harboring partial rDNA units at one of their extremities. The final draft relies on 53 scaffolds, for a total size of 10,227,985 bp and a G+C content of ca. 46.5%. Annotation of protein-coding genes was performed using the Amadea Annotation transfer tool (Isoft, France) and manually curated. Other genetic elements (tRNA and transposable elements) were expertly added.
