资源简介:

Near-bottom magnetic data was collected at the 1) Sentry Dive 750: South East Pacific Rise, at 19°S, on R/V Atlantis during 2024 AT50-31 cruise 2) Sentry Dive 582: North East Pacific Rise, at 9°51'N, on R/V Roger Revelle during 2021 RR2102 cruise. Track lines were spaced 170 m apart, with Sentry about 70 m above bottom, collecting magnetic data using three Applied Physics Systems Model 1540 triaxial fluxgate magnetometers mounted on AUV Sentry. Sentry navigation was obtained using a 300 kHz Teledyne Doppler velocity log (DVL) and a Sonardyne AvTrak2 ultra-short baseline (USBL) acoustic positioning system, combined with an iXblue Phins inertial navigation system (INS), and a Paroscientific 8B7000-I Digiquartz depth sensor. The three-component magnetic data is in MATLAB binary format, one file per Sentry dive, with z being the observed magnetic field. The MATLAB data structure includes X,Y,Z component fluxgate data for each of three sensors where X,Y,Z are in sensor coordinates. The data structure also contains time, latitude, longitude, depth, altitude, roll, pitch, heading, and temperature. The Sentry dive number is given in the file name. Funding was provided by National Science Foundation awards OCE-1948936 (for north East Pacific Rise) and OCE-212830 (south East Pacific Rise).
