Privatrechtliche berufsbegleitende Weiterbildungen: ‚Musiktherapie‘ in Deutschland Privately Subsidized Professional Training: Music Therapy in Germany

Der Erwerb musiktherapeutischen Wissens hat für viele musikalische Menschen in den sogenannten Interaktionsberufen eine große Anziehungskraft. Engagement und Identifikation in pädagogischen und psychosozialen Arbeitsfeldern gehen oftmals einher mit dem Wunsch nach weiterführenden Qualifikationen. Kompetenzen und Performanzen in bestehenden Arbeitsfeldern sollen auf diese Weise erhöht werden, außerdem suchen die Kandidaten professionell begleitete Selbsterfahrung. Eine persönlichkeitsgeprägte Arbeitsweise im bestehenden Beruf ist für viele Weiterbildungskandidaten das vorrangige Ziel ihrer Bemühungen. Ausgehend von den Inhalten und Formaten privatrechtlicher Musiktherapieaus- und Weiterbildungen, wie sie im Studienführer 2012 der DMtG vorgestellt werden, ist dieser Artikel ein Plädoyer für den Fortbestand einer differenzierten Vielfalt von Ausbildungswegen in Zeiten der Akademisierung der Musiktherapie. Attaining music therapy expertise has a large attraction for many musically inclined people in so-called interaction vocations. Dedication and identification to pedagogic and psychosocial fields are frequently associated with the desire for additional advanced qualifications, which should lead to an increase in knowhow and performance in existing fields. Furthermore, these candidates are seeking professionally facilitated self-experience. For many candidates seeking further training, the priority objective of their efforts is a working method shaped by personality within the existing profession. Based on the contents and formats of privately subsidized education and further training in music therapy, as presented in the 2012 Student Guide of the DMtG (German Music Therapy Association), this article is a plea for the continuance of the diverse range of educational paths in this period of music therapy academization. peerReviewed publishedVersion
