资源简介:
The data was collected to relate sugarcane yield to soil properties, especially sodicity and salinity. Seventeen sites in the Burdekin River Irrigation Area, Queensland, Australia, were selected based on known spatial variability in yield. At each site, a 3-row (4.5 m) wide strip of cane that cut across variable areas was identified. The strips were between 150 and 600 m long, and cane yield was measured in selected sections, each 20±30 m long, using a weigh truck. In each section, soil was sampled in 0.125-m increments to 0.75 m depth and analysed for solution chemistry, exchangeable cations, nutrients, organic C, particle size distribution and dispersion index. Root distribution of sugarcane (lateral between rows, and to 1.2 m depth) was also measured on several soil types. The data set contains all the raw results. Software/equipment used to create/collect the data: Microsoft Excel Software/equipment used to manipulate/analyse the data: See Nelson and Ham (2000) Field Crops Research 66, 245-255, for analytical methods.
