Output from a high-resolution global ocean simulation, using the GFDL MOM3.1 ocean code and variable forcing. Twenty years experiment (1982-2001). Output is stored for salinity, temperature, velocity, sea surface height, salt and heat flux as monthly averages and snapshots. This experiment was initialised using the Gouretski and Jancke (1998) dataset, and uses flux-restoring surface boundary conditions and wintertime boundary conditions in both hemispheres. In addition, the NCEP R2 variability and trend are added to this constant wintertime forcing.
