Terrestrial carbon storage in monsoon Asia since the Last Glacial Maximum: Evidence from pollen-constrained process-based modeling

This dataset provides the terrestrial carbon results underlying the associated paper, "Terrestrial carbon storage in monsoon Asia since the Last Glacial Maximum: Evidence from pollen-constrained process-based modeling". Carbon pools were reconstructed with a pollen-constrained, process-based carbon-cycle model (PCM; BIOME4 coupled to a DEMETER-based carbon submodel). It contains two products: 1. Gridded carbon density (0.txt–21.txt): one tab-separated file per 1-ka time slice from 21 ka to 0 ka before present, on a 0.5° regular longitude/latitude grid (WGS 84, EPSG:4326). Columns: long, lati, CDveg (vegetation), CDsoil (soil), CDtotal (total); carbon density in g C m⁻². Cell counts increase toward the LGM as lower sea level exposes continental-shelf land. 2. Total carbon storage time series (China_Cstorage_since_LGM.csv): China-wide totals obtained by area-weighting the gridded density, from 21 to 0 ka.
