Effective removal and reuse of organic matter by biosorption coupled with Anammox

Biosorption-anaerobic ammonium oxidation can effectively reduce the excess organics existing in anaerobic ammonium oxidation process, and its principle is to capture organics instead of consuming organics, which is a sustainable development technology. In this study, using the excellent adsorption performance of aerobic granular sludge, in the form of adsorption-regeneration process, the organics at the front end of Anammox process was removed by biological adsorption in the artificial simulated domestic sewage environment, and it was successfully used for denitrification.
