资源简介:

Raw data and code supporting the Correspondence “Prostate cancer mortality in Mato Grosso, Brazil: Global Burden of Disease estimates versus vital registration. A re-analysis of Daiprai et al.” (submitted to Cancer Causes & Control), which re-analyses Daiprai G et al. (2026) Cancer Causes Control 37:147 (https://doi.org/10.1007/s10552-026-02232-2). The analysis compares age-standardized prostate cancer mortality among men aged 40 years or older in Mato Grosso, Brazil, 2000–2021, across three sources: Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2021, GBD 2023, and deaths registered in Brazil’s Mortality Information System (SIM). Contents: data_raw/: GBD 2021 and GBD 2023 Results tool downloads (prostate cancer deaths, male, number and rate by age; Brazil and Central-West states); SIM deaths for Mato Grosso by age, 2000–2023, from DATASUS/TabNet (ICD-10 C61; ill-defined causes R00–R99; all causes); IBGE population projections by sex and age (2018 edition, SIDRA table 7358; 2024 revision incorporating the 2022 Census). code/reproduce.py: computes age-standardized rates (10-year age groups, GBD standard population weights) for each source, with SIM denominators from both IBGE projections and with proportional redistribution of ill-defined deaths, and writes the input file for the NCI Joinpoint Regression Program. README.md: file descriptions, methods and the full Joinpoint settings (version 6.1.0; log-linear model; constant variance; Bayesian information criterion; 0–4 joinpoints; empirical quantile confidence intervals; permutation test of parallelism). Code is released under CC BY 4.0. GBD data are redistributed for non-commercial use under the IHME Free-of-Charge Non-Commercial User Agreement; SIM data are from the Brazilian Ministry of Health (DATASUS); population data are from IBGE.
