Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (PDAC) Clinical Trials Dataset: Cross-Registry US and EU Data

PDAC Trial Atlas dataset (v1.3) PDAC Trial Atlas is a curated, pancreas ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC)–focused dataset of clinical trials, enriched with normalization, tagging, and cross-registry correlation to support exploration and lightweight analysis. The dataset provides a unified, local-friendly table of PDAC-relevant clinical trials sourced from major international registries, with harmonized fields designed to accelerate filtering, comparison, and downstream analysis. Purpose Provide a single, analysis-ready table of PDAC-relevant clinical trials. Normalize key trial attributes (therapeutic class, focus tags, intervention types, design). Correlate and merge records appearing across multiple registries when explicit links exist. Data sources ClinicalTrials.gov — U.S./international clinical trial registry accessed via public API. CTIS (EU Clinical Trials Information System) — accessed via programmatic retrieval from the public CTIS portal. Notes CTIS public coverage applies primarily to EU/EEA trials submitted under the EU Clinical Trials Regulation (CTR), with public availability from 31 January 2022 onward. Legacy EU trials registered exclusively in EudraCT are not included in this v1.3 release. Dataset size Total trials: 2,476 By source: ClinicalTrials.gov: 2,324 CTIS: 117 ClinicalTrials.gov + CTIS (merged records): 35 Each row represents a unique PDAC-relevant trial after de-duplication and correlation. Files included pdac-trials.csv — UTF-8 CSV with a stable, documented header. pdac-trials.parquet — Parquet version of the same table (optimized for analytics). schema.json — Machine-readable schema describing all fields. Methodology Ingestion of PDAC-focused trial records into a local SQLite database (pdac_trials.db): ClinicalTrials.gov retrieval CTIS retrieval De-duplication and correlation of CTIS trials referencing an NCT identifier. Normalization, tagging, and heuristic classification. Export to CSV and Parquet formats. Generation timestamp (UTC): 2026-02-05 20:24:09Z Limitations This dataset is not a complete or authoritative mirror of any registry. PDAC relevance is determined via heuristic string matching and normalization rules; false positives and negatives may occur. Registry data availability varies; some fields may be incomplete or simplified. Detection of publications and results is best-effort and may lag behind registry updates. CTIS records are only merged with ClinicalTrials.gov when an explicit identifier link is present.
