Purpose: Next-generation sequencing (NGS) has provided an opportunity to understand the underline processes invloved in migratory behavior. The goals of this study are to compare NGS-derived liver transcriptome profiling (RNA-seq) under migratory and non-migratory processes and understand the processes contributign under the physiological state. In total, 12 liver samples (6 x 2; one sample from each of the six time-points of both M and nM states) were sequenced and mapped against zebra finch genome. A range of 20-30 million 100 base single-end reads were generated for each liver sample
