Leopold Figl

The Leopold Figl memorial on Minoritenplatz in Vienna was built in 1973. It consists of an abstract metal stele, in the lower area is the bust of Figl. On the stele are the inscriptions: Leopold Figl 1902-1965, Governor of Lower Austria, Foreign Minister, Chancellor of Austria, President of the National Council. The memorial was designed by Franz Anton Coufal, Sepp Kais and Josef Obermoser and opened in the presence of Bruno Kreisky and Andreas Mauter. Leopold Figl was the first Chancellor of Austria after the Second World War. As foreign minister he was involved in the negotiations on the Austrian State Treaty, which he signed in 1955 for Austria.  Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
