RNA-seq of Ficus carica latex

RNA-seq analysis was conducted using RNA samples isolated from latexes of immature fruit, young petiole, and lignified trunk of fig tree (Ficus carica), to compare expression pattern of defense-related genes. De novo assembly of reads was perfomed using paired-end, 100 nt, illumina HiSeq2000, to create unigene sequences. Reads of single-end, 50 nt, illumina HiSeq200, n = 3 for each sample, were mapped to the unigene sequences to gain expression level of each unigene in each sample.
